About St. Luke Legacy Center
The St. Luke Legacy Center was founded in July 2020 in Jackson Ward’s historic St. Luke Building. The St. Luke Building was home to the Independent Order of St. Luke under the leadership of trailblazing African American business woman Maggie Lena Walker. Founded in 1869, the Order’s mission was to foster economic independence and social advancement of African Americans through the enterprises and operations housed there. Our goal is to continue to build on that mission today, and create safe spaces FOR us, BY us in every community that needs It.
S2S School Day
and Summer Program
S2S Virtual Support is housed here at the St Luke Legacy Center! We are the child care solution for virtual school year with Certified Scholars. S2S has a solution for most families. They include full school day, after school and after hours child care on an income-based sliding scale for tuition fees.
