    What drew you to the St. Luke Legacy Center?: 

    In the spring of 2020 and in the height of the pandemic, Nikki and I were offered the opportunity to visit the unfinished commercial space of the newly renovated historic St. Luke Building in Jackson Ward. 


    Education

    B.A in Psychology, minor in Communication from George Mason University Qualified Mental Health Professional - Child and Adult.


    What experiences/knowledge do you bring to the St. Luke Community? 

    Korinn Y. Carter serves as the President, and the Chief Executive Officer of the St. Luke Legacy Center bringing her experience as a serial social entrepreneur. Since 2011, she has founded, operated, and managed several agencies and organizations in the social services field with the childhood dream of “changing the world.”

    Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist


    What drew you to the St. Luke Legacy Center?:

    The opportunity to provide a safe space for entire families in our communities to receive quality mental health and wellness services.


    What experiences/knowledge do you bring to the St. Luke Community? 

    I have  over 15 years of experience providing therapeutic counseling services to individuals of all ages affected from diverse populations with mental health, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse or co-occurring disorders to include individual, couples, family, group and crisis counseling services.

    What experiences/knowledge do you bring to the St. Luke Community? 

    With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I have first hand knowledge  of what the community really needs. An undeniable will to succeed. A unique skill set of managing mental health outpatient agencies nationwide. I am truly passionate and determined about my work.

The Diverse Birth Collective

The Diverse Birth Collective is team of diverse Birth Workers solely focused on your goals and needs. Our team consists of a Midwife’s Apprentice, Doulas, child birth educators , Reiki practitioners, Prenatal Yoga teachers, CLCs, Certified Hypnobirthing Instructors and Postpartum Specialists. We support our clients with everything from holistic wellness, to Homebirth skills , Infant Massage, and more. We offer classes virtually and in person.
