MISSION&VISION

Founded in 2020, the mission of the St. Luke Legacy Center is to build on the original Orders’ mission in fostering economic independence and social advancement of the African American community. We believe continuing the legacy means equipping  the community with tools and resources, such as holistic wraparound services that  cater to our people's needs from birth to death. We envision a space, curated specifically for the minority community that will  confront culturally specific concepts.

We are committed to honoring the legacy of Maggie L. Walker. When we say wraparound, that’s what we mean. Our whole family, holistic approach introduces alternative methods of treatment (such as acupuncture, yoga, and sound healing) and explores various options that can result in a positive, impactful change. With the effects of the pandemic’s ever changing dynamics of our economy, our community is facing even more challenges, including access to affordable and relatable services. That's where we come in! Our presence in the community is not only important, but in today’s world, we are essential.
